Data Analyst II


RAY ALLEN is looking for someone who is ready to work and eager to learn. You will be integral in developing new methodologies and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and interpretation of various business metrics. Ideally, you will have a knack for problem-solving, are resourceful and not afraid of some data detective work, consider yourself a creative and an out-of-the-box thinker, are very logical and methodical, stay meticulously organized, are comfortable handling very large data sets primarily in Excel, and you are an effective and comfortable communicator.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research and investigate company entity hierarchies and inventory reports
  • Pull data from various tools and databases; sift through and organizes data
  • Clean up and organize large data sets through data entry and use of complex Excel formulas and functions
  • Interpret raw data sets, conduct data analysis, and share results through a combination of custom reports, pivot tables, and visual graphing components
  • Maintain tables and/or databases to store, organize, and map data
  • Interact and proactively communicate with team regarding issues and new ideas
  • Provide feedback to further define internal processes and advance company’s Business Intelligence

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Business, or related field desired, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills: logical and lookup functions, nested formulas, pivot tables;
  • Demonstrate problem-solving analytical skills with open-ended problems
  • High organizational skills and very detail-oriented: experience working with large data sets
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to effectively gather project requirements, create mockups, and manage a project through completion
  • Positive attitude; strong work ethic; good interpersonal/communication and time-management skills
  • Macros, VBA, R, Python, or other basic programming/automation/analysis skills a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools a plus, such as Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Tableau, Sisense, Alteryx, Microsoft PowerBI, etc.
