IT Asset Management Project Specialist

Description

The IT Asset Management Project Specialist is part of a team that supports our Client’s IT Asset Management service offering. At this time, the team’s primary focus is creation and delivery of training content relating to a new, rapidly-developing software application. Other active projects include documenting processes and delivering training to support changes to the service offering.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Specialist will support one or more statements of work. The Project Specialist will participate in delivery of SOW work products and deliverables, to include (but not limited to): 

  • Learning new tools/processes/requirements, then developing and delivering training content
  • Developing and documenting processes and best practices
  • Maintaining online repositories of training/documentation materials
  • Scheduling and facilitating trainings, workshops, and meetings
  • Participating in User Acceptance Testing
  • Developing work-arounds for deficiencies in tools and processes
  • Supporting or leading change management as tools and processes change
  • Planning for future program needs
  • Aligning training materials, tools, reports, and processes across multiple delivery theaters
  • Assisting with testing and certification
  • Developing, administering, and reporting on surveys
  • Developing recommendations and action plans based on survey outcomes
  • Generating reports and presentations
  • Analyzing, presenting, and remediating Installed Base inventory data 


The Project Specialist will first learn the fundamentals of the Asset Manager role. Building on this foundation, the Project Specialist will learn how to support the Client’s Program team. Within the first 2 months in the role, the Project Specialist will write and/or deliver client-facing content independently.

This role incorporates elements of program management, project management, consulting, and project execution. A successful candidate will learn new concepts quickly and build strong working relationships within our Client’s organization.

  • Advanced user of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with online training, testing, and certification (preferred)
  • Experience with IT-related service offerings (preferred)
  • Experience working with or for Cisco Systems (preferred)
  • Experience working within a consulting relationship (preferred)
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), especially User Acceptance Testing (preferred)
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM), e.g. ServiceNow (preferred)
  • Experience using WebEx or other online meeting/training platforms (preferred)
  • Flexibility on work hours to accommodate evening meetings/trainings with APJC, estimated at 5%
  • Possible travel, estimated at <20% of time
