Reporting Analyst I


RAY ALLEN is in need of a detail-oriented, creative problem solver for our full-time Reporting Analyst I position. The candidate will be part of our Data Engineering team and will be creating reports and dashboards. This will involve: gathering requirements, data cleanup, creating mockups, analyzing data, formulating KPIs, and crafting new reports and dashboards. Through effective, accurate, and efficient interpretation of data, you will improve the company’s overall business acumen.

You stay meticulously organized in pressure situations. Last but not least, you are a skilled communicator, adept at explaining complex results to non-technical audiences.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external teams to collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer/business needs
  • Use Excel and other tools to mine, clean up, organize, prepare, model, and interpret large data sets Create ETL process and Data Models to achieve desired outcome, primarily using Qlik Sense
  • Create Dashboards, stories, and processes with some direction, using Excel, PowerPoint, and Qlik Sense
  • Work with Project Managers and others to explore problems and conduct data analysis
  • Analyze and audit reports to locate and resolve errors
  • Assist with creating ETL process and Data Models to achieve desired outcome
  • Use advanced analytical techniques when required
  • Organize requirements and task out projects
  • Maintain internal data sets and tables within tools or standard templates
  • Interact with and proactively communicate with teams regarding issues and new ideas
  • Support tools and processes for data analysis and reporting
  • Document standards and procedures when creating reports
  • Troubleshoot technical issues

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years Data Analysis or Reporting Analysis work experience
  • 1+ year experience of development, design, and implementation with Qlik Sense or similar BI platform
  • Beginner to Intermediate SQL skills and knowledge of de-normalized or star-schema database models
  • Beginner to Intermediate programming skills (Python, R, VBA, or JavaScript a plus)
  • Understanding of basic statistics
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., nested logical and lookup functions, pivot tables)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with open-ended problems
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and proven time-management skills
  • Very detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Understanding of IT asset management, networking equipment, and contract management a plus
